The Macedonian Chambers of Commerce encourages social responsibility by helping and improving the conditions for health protection primarily of children and vulnerable categories, and today donated a disinfection tunnel and additional health protection aid to the Institute for Children with Lung Diseases in Skopje.
Installing a disinfection tunnel in front of the hospital entrance will significantly reduce the possibility of the virus entering the hospital, which is especially important because it is specialized hospital for children with respiratory problems and lung diseases and their protection from the virus is extremely important. The tunnel product has a tank of 1,000 liters, the pump nozzles create aerosols and up to 600 people can be disinfected in one hour. The device is designed for children who are primary patients, health professionals and all other visitors and is completely safe.
“The Macedonian Chambers of Commerce, since the beginning of the pandemic emphasizes the importance of mobilization and solidarity which in conditions of health and economic crisis, when we struggle for human lives and for saving the economy is invaluable. In these difficult times, all the initiatives to put the available resources into operation in order to protect the citizens from Covid 19 are extremely important. We continue to actively help to overcome the situation, but also to preserve the health of vulnerable categories, children and our future generations”- said Dragan Mitkovski, from MCC and added that the initiatives will continue, with priority given to food donations, medical equipment. protection and emergency assistance especially for the most vulnerable categories.
There are sprinklers in the disinfection tunnel, which are activated by pressing a button before entering, and then a disinfection cloud is created through which the person entering the hospital passes.
“This is the highest level of epidemiological protection. The tunnel is of great importance for disinfection because it provides protection for children and employees of the Institute for Children with Lung Diseases, from potential carriers of the virus from people who will visit in the future – said the director of the Institute Dr. Angelcho Andonovski, who expressed gratitude and emphasized that this assistance will enable the hospital to increase the level of protection not only for children, but also for parents and medical staff.
